Double Trouble for CSB

Crcket Southern Bayside’s Indoor team were unlucky in both matches of their double header on Friday night.

Playing against two very experienced teams CSB’s inexperience was no match for their opponents.

Facing Bobo’s Diner Sharks in the first match, batted first and were restricted to 33 runs despite a promising 2nd skin partnership between Aaron Fenton (21) and Stuart Easton (8).

The Shark’s responded by scoring 36 in their first skin to all but ensure victory as they cruised to 129 and snared all four skins.

Stuart Easton’s 2/4 was the best of the bowling performances.

In the second match, the CSB boys were simply outclassed by the undeafeted Croydon Raiders.

Despite another promising partnership of 31 between Aaron Fenton (20) & Stuart Easten (11) in the 2nd skin, the team was restricted to just 25 runs.

The Raiders cruised through their innings and finished up on 147 with all four skins.

Benji Gore was the pick of the bowlers finishing with 2/5.

CSB’s next match will be this Friday (18 May) against Cranbourne at Cranbourne where the boys will look to turn things around and post their first win of the series.
